The West Bengal government has introduced a centralised admission portal for undergraduate programmes at state government institutions and universities. The portal was launched by state education minister Bratya Basu at Bikash Bhavan in Kolkata. It facilitates admission to 7,217 undergraduate courses offered by government and government-aided general degree colleges, along with universities. These include 16 universities, 461 colleges, and several other higher education institutions across West Bengal.
